Admissions at Dominion Academy

At Dominion Academy of Dayton, we believe that every child is fearfully and wonderfully made in the image of God and therefore called to pursue wisdom, virtue, and a life ordered toward Truth, Goodness, and Beauty. As a Classical Christian school, we seek not merely to inform the mind, but to form the whole person—cultivating knowledge, and shaping character in accordance with the lordship of Christ.

We’re more than a school—we’re a family of families, walking together in faith and shared responsibility. Parents are the primary educators, and it’s a joy to partner with them to help students love what is true, beautiful, and good—all for God’s glory.

As we build a community grounded in shared convictions and academic excellence, we approach admissions with prayerful discernment. Enrollment is determined by available space and the careful consideration of our leadership, seeking alignment in mission and a mutual commitment to the classical Christian vision of education.

Our Admissions Process

Our admissions process is designed to be thoughtful and personal. We invite families to connect with us, visit our campus, and prayerfully explore whether Dominion Academy is the right fit. Each application is carefully reviewed as we seek to build a Christ-centered family of families committed to faith, character, and academic excellence.

We invite you to start by completing the Application for Admission and, if applicable, the Request for Records form from your child’s previous school. Request forms can be obtained from the office.

To help us better understand and support your student, we ask that families submit relevant academic and support documents, such as report cards, standardized test scores, attendance and discipline records, and any IEP or 504 plans.

As part of our faith-based partnership, we also ask families to share their church attendance as part of the application process.

A non-refundable application fee of $60 per student ($30 for each additional student) is submitted with your paperwork. 

Our desire at Dominion Academy is to see every student placed where they can grow with confidence and success. Once your application materials and fees have been received, our office will reach out to schedule a gentle academic assessment in grammar, reading comprehension, and math. This helps us ensure your child is placed in classes that best support their learning and development.

After reviewing your child’s application and assessment, we look forward to meeting you personally. This family meeting is a time to connect, share our vision for Dominion Academy, and learn more about your hopes and goals for your child’s education. Our office will contact you to schedule this meaningful conversation.

Following your meeting, you will receive a letter sharing the outcome of your application along with next steps to complete their enrollment. Your child’s Academic Director will walk alongside you through the enrollment process and help answer any questions along the way.

Once accepted, families will complete their enrollment through our online Family Portal. During this time, we will work together to establish a financial plan that best fits your family’s needs. If applicable, our team will assist you with completing and submitting EdChoice and other applicable scholarship forms.
