Standings and Stats

 Phil Pierce – Athletic Director

Dominion Academy offers a competitive interscholastic soccer program for high school students. Our program is open to all 9th thru 12th grade students that wish to participate in athletics in a Christ-centered environment. We welcome home-school students. We compete against Christian schools, private schools, public schools and home-school teams in the area.

The High School soccer program at DA is young but has experienced a lot of success over the four years of its existence. Each year the team has improved over the previous year. Our program is focused on learning the game, establishing a love for the game and building a daily routine of stretching and running. The objective for each varsity athlete is to approach and exceed our speed, strength and soccer benchmarks, improve leadership skills, master time management skills and compete with the intensity and grace modeled by Christ. In the 2017/2018 season, we ended with a 14-3-3 record to include post season play.

The Season

Formal practices begin the first of August.  This time is used to build teamwork, increase endurance and learn the game of soccer. Our game schedule begins in late August. We use competition against other teams to refine our skills and to measure our progress as student athletes.  Depending on tournament play, we typically wrap up the season towards the end of October or early November.

Dominion Academy offers the opportunity for summer conditioning to help our student athletes keep up their stamina during the off season.  Soccer open fields and conditioning are held during the months of June and July.  Student athletes will have the opportunity to play in one or two summer tournaments if they wish.  This program is NOT mandatory in order to play soccer with Dominion Academy and does NOT affect your position or eligibility to play Varsity Soccer.
