EdChoice Scholarships

Dominion Academy of Dayton is a chartered nonpublic (private) school, which enables us to accept EdChoice Scholarships. Eligible students can apply to receive a scholarship worth up to full tuition at Dominion Academy through the Ohio Department of Education’s EdChoice Program.

In order to be eligible for an EdChoice Scholarship, a student must be:

  • attending or assigned to attend a designated low-rated public school,
OR
  • entering K-3 and meet family low-income requirements.

Once an eligible student is accepted to Dominion Academy, parents can work with the school to complete the EdChoice application process, and the school will submit the application to the Ohio Department of Education on behalf of the family.

Dominion Academy also has need-based scholarship funds to distribute according to the discretion of the School Board:

The All Nations Scholarship Fund

The All Nations Scholarship Fund was established to offer financial assistance to area immigrants and refugees. The ANS Fund was established in 2007 through the inspiration of a Dominion Academy student and we awarded our first scholarship to Edwin, who came to us from Kenya, Africa. Scholarships for academic and enrichment classes have been awarded to students from Mexico, the Congo, the Philippines, and Kenya.

Because our school name is based on the verse, “And He shall have dominion from sea to sea and from the rivers to the ends of the earth” (Psalm 78:2), our vision to reach students from other nations is a natural outgrowth of our mission. We have relied on generous donors each year to join us in this life-changing endeavor, and hope you will also partner with us.

The Saint Alfred Scholarship Fund

The St. Alfred Scholarship is need-based tuition assistance for families who desire to send their students to Dominion Academy.

Alfred the Great (849 – 26 October 899) was King of Wessex from 871 to 899. Alfred was a learned and merciful man who encouraged education and improved his kingdom’s legal system and military structure.

Contact the school office at (937) 224-8555 for more information.

The Saint Stephen Scholarship Fund

The Saint Stephen Scholarship Fund is a fund for students who attend the parish of Christ the King Anglican Church.

Saint Stephen was the first martyr of the Christian Church, a faithful witness unto death.
